Default Perplexed. Front knuckle removal. what went wrong?

I went through all the FAQs, search and google. Could not get the knuckle off so what went wrong?

Sequence of events:

removed tire and wheel
removed 32mm axle nut
removed entire brake assembly
removed lower ball joint circlip and nut
removed tie rod circlip and nut
removed upper knuckle wishbone nuts (ones under hood)
went as far as removing upper and lower shock mounts (was I supposed to?)

The last thing left were the lower ball joint and tie rod joints.

I used the ratchet method, hammer method, a jack to support the LBJ, jumped on the ratchet etc and finally I just gave up so I ask what went wrong?

it might have helped to keep the suspension on but its not totaly necesary. when you stick the rachet in there drop the jack fast if it doesnt pop then jump on the hub not the rachet. soak it with some pb.

oh good lord. I was jumping on the ratchet. I had watched that video but a poor quality one. THAT shows it alot better. Thanks.

Also very important, does the tie rod (sort of above and behind) pop out simultaneously or can one lift it out?

One last thing, lol, for the axle thats in the knuckle, can I just slide the knuckle out by pulling it away from the axle or how else does it come out? Thanks.

What do i need to get the hub spline off the axle?

I read I need a big 2 or 3 jaw puller?

Just tap it with a brass hammer or use the corner of a 3 pound hammer just dont hit anywhere near the threads, it doesnt ususally take much then pull knuckle out.
