how do i check fluid level for tranny.. b18b?
Do you have a manual tranny? If you do, you have to take out your tranny filler bolt to check the level. It's a 12 mm bolt sitting near the top of the tranny housing on the passenger side, near the engine. Pull the bolt, stick in your finger. If there's fluid at the bottom of the hole, you're OK. Otherwise, add fluid (a funnel and a length of rubber hose are indispensable for this job).
Also, I'd say blow $12 on a Haynes manual. They have pictures and slightly more detailed instructions.

yep the best way to check is to do what he said, if its not to the bottom of the filler, just add some slowly until it pours out...but make sure the car is level
Well, then that's how you check it.
With a manual tranny, you don't have to worry about the fluid level unless you have a leak. That's why there isn't an easier way to check it.
