Default Dead/Old HID BALLAST TRADE IN PROGRAM (AKA crap HID kit)

We get a lot of e-mails and questions about dead or malfunctioning ballasts from cheap kits marketed on ebay, and well off ebay too for that matter. And you know most of time there is just no recourse for someone in this position other than getting caught in the trap agian and buying another cheap kit or putting some more bucks into a quality one. We are finding it is more and more rare that vendors are sticking to their claimed warranties.

So we are offering the Retro-Solutions HID ballast trade-in program.
All you do is send in your current pair of ballasts for a discount towards a new, lifetime warranty, quality pair of our DIGITAL brand ballasts.

It is really that simple, and here is more information reagrding the program:

It says 35w bulbs are compatible with 55w ballasts but reduces lifespan. Is this overall not good for the bulbs and how much reduced life will it be? Does that mean you can put a 2000k bulb in a 55w ballast?

It is not recommended. As far as lifespan that is variable based on your individual usage habits. The other thing is brands vary in quality and construction, so while one brand might take the extra internal pressure created by overpowering the bulbs, another may not.
The option IS there, however we DO NOT recommend it ourselves.

We have been in the custom automotive lighting industry since 2003 and offering the best customer service since day 1

As far as where our ballasts are made, a lot of vendors ask us the same question, however to protect our interests we do not give out that information. We actually use three manufacturers for our DIGITAL line.

correct, you would send in your ballasts with a MO or Paypal billable email address to receive the ballasts at a discount.
If you want to trade in your current 35w ballasts for 55w ballasts you can do that and purchase the 55w bulbs seperately at member prices ($60) or resuse the current 35w bulbs you might have with reduced lifespan.

ANY BALLASTS, IN ANY CONDITION are accepable trade-ins!

Damn, my ballast just blew and I took it apart, it's really not worth anything to send it to you guys. Crap, wish I would have seen this first. It was also a $225 kit. Supervision II 35watt kit.

This is a first. Haven't seen anyone do this before.

I just got one your kits Todd, so I guess this offer rules me out.
