B16a2 swap. need helpful info please
Okay. Im getting ready to order a b16a2 with lsd tranny from the internet. im still shopping around for prices and such. probably going to order from Hmotorsonline. I just want to be sure when i order it im not going to be missing a bunch of essential parts . I guess I have 4 questions.
1. Is there any website you guys reccomend that will give me everything i need for a complete swap into a 1997 coupe?
2. Will the b16a2 use the same half shafts as my D16y7?
3. Password jdm sells a motor mount that they claim is needed for the swap, is this true?
4. And to anyone that has done this swap. Is there any problems you ran into along the way ( i.e. Supplies, fitment, ect.)

i have done the swap my self on my 96 civic and i came up with a few little problems along the way.i have made everything work except for my cruise and reverse lights..so what i did was that i had my whole complete swap with everything and thats how i made everything happen..u would need to switch over two wires on the computer harness and thats how your speedometer will work, the fan has to get wired up into the fuse box and u would need to run the tach wire from the distributor onto the lil blue plugg by the right side of the engine bay.you can avoid all these problems by just keeping your harness and extending the wires to make everything work without encoutering any of these problems..i dont have my stock harness so my car wont even pass emission..so just keep your stock harness with computer or put a jumper harness with a p28 chipped out..i guess this is as much info as that i can give u ..good luck
