From: ITR owner... round three

Well my '97 is finally gone to a fellow in Massachusetts. It really hasn't sunk in yet but after a week of collecting all the ITR related paraphernalia around my house for the buyer to keep, she gone to a new home.
What makes me feel good is that I feel that it went for a fair price for both myself and the buyer (PM if interested) and it's nice to know that folks out there really do value '97s over some of the other year models due to the rareness.
See you guys next year at Expo. I guess there may be two M3's at the event next year. Then again, I'm never going to rule out the possibility of owning another R soon.

I don't understand... this seems to be a common thing with ITR owners. Why do you sell them and plan to buy one again soon.

It's certainly not the power, but the gearbox, brakes, loud-*** interior, simplicity, and 2600 lb weight come to mind...
Also, even a track nOOb like me can go up the S'es on 11 year old springs, shocks, and bushings at 95 mph.
