okay so sometimes when it's just idling the car will hiccup...I don't know how else to explain it, it doesnt die or even act like it wants to, it's just a slight jerk, rpms drop slightly and the exhaust will make a pop every time it hiccups. You can only hear the pop if you're behind the car though....Any ideas of what could be causing this?

might need a tune up...i doubt its timing seein how it only does it once in a while

 

someone said that the exhaust popping could be from a bad fuel filter letting in rust or something...does that sounds possible?

 

possibly....it could be a clogged cat as well...when is the last time you did a full tune up?plugs,cap,rotor,wires,filters,even belts?
