The difference between the two is that the SiR-G does not have a bumper lip, has chrome headlights while the Type R's have black housing with and without HID's, and the bumper reinforcement bar on the SiR-G does not have the bar going across connecting the mounting points for the bumper support. Also, the Honda emblems are different. I think that's all.

You don't need the actual bar, but you will need the two brackets to hold up the bumper support. The reinforcement bar is only used to protect your car during a slow speed accident. I would recommend it because it can save your conversion.

If you're going to buy a whole conversion and not piece one together, these should come with your conversion. It will probably already be bolted on the JDM radiator support.

If you want to use your stock hood latch, then your going to have to reroute your latch cable to inside the engine bay. Looks ghetto. Your other option is to find a 2nd gen integra hood latch and cable. This is what I'm running. It is possible to do this at home, the only issue could be the radiator support. This is going to need replacing. If you can weld then your should be fine. Do some research, there's plenty of DIY's on this here on HT.

use one from a 90-93 DA or a 92-95 civic hood latch cable

I did mine in my apartment parking lot
