Default Type r head or Jun 3 cams?

I currently have an ls/vtec setup in my eg. Currently the cylinder head im running is a sir2 b16 no head work at all just toda spec A's and portflow springs and retainers.

I am debating on purchasing a complete type r head new from acura or getting Jun 3 cams and springs. I dynoed my car recently and it came in at 190 whp and 140 torque. With the compression i have i think it needs more of a bigger cam but im debating on it because most power comes from the head. I know the type r head isnt the greatest step up from a b16 head because its just ported a little better.

So my question is this what would be the best investment to buy jun 3 cams and valve train or a type r head. If i go towards the type r head im thinking of buying the toda header and scraping my jdm R header. My compression is currently at 12:2:1 and have a jdm type r header.

thanks for the advice

i think you'll get more out of the Jun III package than you would with a stock ITR head

Jun cams. Why u want a type r head for? Your head is jsut fine. Just port it out and everything wil be good. Make sure you get the proper valvetrain if you going with jun also

Jun cams definately. You will notice very little gain with the ITR head. I would recommend just getting the head ported and get the cams instead of wasting your money on a factory head.

As for the header, its up to you. Get the cams first and dyno. Then get the header later and see how much of a difference it made. Also i would get a hitech or SMPS header any day of the week over a Toda header.
