Default Taking apart the cab-air intakes

I am working on a new to me car, 92 accord coupe... I need to take apart the air intakes that provide the air for the cab fan - I am assuming it's the black box by the windshield, looks like I will need to take the wipers off and unscrew a few things... You see, this damn cat decided to **** right on the windshield, which leaked down into the air intakes, and now the whole car smells quite peculiar whenever the fan is on... I've also thought about sticking a pressure washer through the hole, but I dont want to flood nothing inside... Any ideas on what is the best way to deal with the issue? Seems like taking the box out is the safest, if so, what does it involve exactly? Thanks a bunch in advance !!!

Water will go the same places the pee did, so just run a garden hose trough the same area for a half hour or so. Set the flow rate to what your drains handle. This will also clean out the drains! Then, when its been flushed plenty, mix up some hot tap water (not boiling and liquid detergent, pour it through, and do not rinse right away...let it sit for about another half hour, then do the flush again. The next day, after all that dries out, turn the heater/AC fan on high, and begin spraying Febreeze through the air inlets along the windshield...pick a fragrance you like. THEN, when all that's done, put a couple dryer sheets inside the car, one in front, one in back, and leave it parked in the sun with the windows up (heat activates the dryer sheets...poor man's air fresheners!). It'll be way to 'perfumy' at first, but running fresh air through the vents with the windows open while you drive will get rid of that pretty quick.

hey thanks for a whole bunch of good ideas... sounds like someone had a similar problem in the past? I will give some of your ideas a shot, sounds simple enough...

however, I am still curious about what it takes to take it all out and apart to clean or service...
