Anyone ever do timing belt on an F22?
Because the last time the belt on our 90 Accord was changed, it was at 90K miles. The car has about 175K now, and i have a lot of stuff to work on it (brakes, tune up...etc)
I am very mechincally inclined on Hondas. Done many clutches on civic si's, sohcs, and lots of bolt ons.
I want to put in a new timing belt. Is it a real pain or just time consuming? Any tips or special tools I need? I have a Haynes manual. While I'm in there I will replace the water pump.
Thanks

Never done a timing belt before, but I know how to time motors.
Well, I guess i'll tackle the project. Anyone who has done it, how long did it take you on an F22?

I'm just gonna get a new engine. F22B1's are only 750 on Nippon Motors, and that is comparable to the amount paid for a timing belt change. At least now my car will have fewer miles.

are you kidding me? dude, that is the most illogical pile of trash ive ever heard....is your engine ok? Timing belt at my dealer is $650...and we have an $89/hr rate which is pricy as hell.

That most cost a lot by now. You want a Lude SI clip from one of my friends? He has a rear ended 95 SI with 40k on it that he is selling.

changing a timing belt is really a pain in the ***. It always pissed me off when shops charged $600+ for the damn timing belt, but hell when i did my own h22a, omg i almost cried. Its harder in an accord with no damn space, but since im the DIYer, i would probably do it again...hehe. I dont like taking my car in for anything, but it really is a pain in the ***.
Superman on speed couldnt do it this fast.
