I need some Hondata s200 3step help
I played with it a little last year but I have only been able to set it up dynamically (engine running).I just tried again with no luck.I've tried every combination of button pushing and brake tapping I can think of.I have a Hondata printout and I still can't set it statically. Can it be set with a laptop.I have the romediter and dataloging etc...
Any help would be appreciated.

What exactly are you wanting to do?
Do you have the rom editor software along with the hondata usb-> serial cable that is required to use the new rom editor?
Are you having problems setting up parameters? If so, what is not working ? You should have screen shots ready along with a copy of your rom and that might get you some more help.

I have romediter (older version) and burner, romulater, etc.I can not enter three step parameters statically, just dynamically (engine running). It does work when set,but setting it is a pain.

I have it connected and have looked for a way to adjust the limits in hondalogger. The manual for hondalogger doesn't say anything about setting the three step. The s200 manual says I should be able to set it dynamically or statically, with statically being the perfered method.

In order to set it up in the spftware directly you either have romeditor4 or s300
s200 was only adjustable while the vehicle was running

I used to use the button that came with the s200. It worked fine for me but I was unable to set the peak rpm limiter. I could change vtec, launch control, and full throttle shift limiters though.

thats not true...I set mine with the button....I can also go in and change the launch and rev limit in the datalogging program, ill check when I get home and refresh myself with it, cars been down for a while....the only thing I could never get to work was the full throttle shift and yes I put the clutch switch in.

it has to be hooked to the car with the key on engine off. open the pull down tab at the top that says "view". Click on "ecu" , it will open a menu with the ecus listed and all your limits. after you input the limits you have to close the window and turn of the car. then key on and wait 10 secs for the limits to change/save you can download a full instruction manual here

Thanks.I have already printed them out.I thought I had read them thoroughly but I hadn't seen the sequence for changing the limits in hondalogger.I have pulled that screen down but i couldn't change the values. But I don't think I ever tried with ecu "connected".I give it a try in the am.
Thanks again for your time.
