95 Accord convert to skyline R33 is it possible??
whats up i have 95 -4dr accord Lx model stick shift and i want to convert my accord into a replica 96 skyline r33 .. i have seen this before believe it or not i thought it was a skyline but it's not .. the guy told me he is going to do something no man has done before which is put a r33 motor into accord with alot of fabrication done .. well i know that guy is crazy but all i want to do is the conversion i have all the parts .. taillights with the center trim saying skyline and the front headlights i want to know how much would you think it will cost to get the back taillights to fit i know theres body work that needs to be done specially the trunk..below is a image of something similar to what i have in mind ...
well jsut to help this clown outt he entire rear body panel where the tailights originally sit needs to be modifed heavily in order to acept the R33 tails. custom brackets and such will have to be fabbed up as well as some wiring, then you have the taks of making the rest of the quarter line back up with the tail and making sure the trunk still lines up and seals along with the rear bumper. too much work for stupid tail lights
It's about a $1000+ to do so. Its hard to trust people who do this sometime. Only use body shops who have done conversions before or nothing will line up. It was done many times back in the day. Its a lot sheet metal play and bondo.
The whole car has to be painted.
Then paint job price.
You won't have a car for a week from an experience body shop.
Taillights are another price factor.
etc etc.
Show car use things only.
I got a bmw coversion to my accord and a shop messed it up doing it. Cost me even more money to hire an attorney for lawsuit.
Its not worth it!

looks like a terrible idea. Just buy a car that satisfies you. Not as extreme, but I wanted a B18C1 and 4 wheel disks. Instead of doing the conversion which would cost about $4000, I sold my car and bought a nice GSR for only $700 more. You may not have a skyline but you sure can get something awesome!

Anything is possible. just depends on how much money your willing to spend. if your going to do a skyline replica, just buy an actual skyline. would probably cost only a little bit more than what it would cost to fabricate your accord to look like one. but do what you will.
Dude just cut out two holes in some black film and put it over the stock tail lights.
SHA BAM! INSTANT SKYLINE TAIL LIGHTS.

It would cost more than a thousand dollars just to repaint the damn car.
He wants the FRONT end done too so whatever you're thinking, double it.
If you think this labor-intensive project would be done in a week you're insaine.
I can't believe you actually hired someone to do a bimmer conversion on your Accord. Most of the time customizing of this level is done by high-profile shops that specialize in this subject, or people who do it themselves. I would have sued myself for actually thinking that it was a good idea.
Look, jdmmostwanted, this 'conversion' will set you back more than the car is worth so if this is a daily, check with your insurance company because they won't cover your **** if you crash it.

Well I still like show cars as well. Its all about attention to detail with the work. If it's daily driven, it will just get f'd up by the streets. Its good to see detail work now and then instead of the jdm want to be bandwagon.
Jdm, look around you won't many. I see a lot ebay items on a car and they call it jdm.
Its up to you dude if your willing to spend the money and do it right. If not you can use that 5k for other things.

wow he's serious. WOW! I cant stop saying wow. body work and paint is going to cost way too much. You have to cut to fit the tail lights, and the trim on the bottom. I'm assuming the part on the bottom that says skyline is not going to be flush with the trunk. Then you have to cut and rewire the tail lights to you stock wires. Do the same to the front. then you have to repaint. I dont even know whats worst, the thought of the conversion or the price!
Peoples just to let yall know i now own 94 accord ex with h22 motor and finished the skyline conversion front and back will take pictures soon
i've seen the conversion front of a 350z and rear of a g35 on a 94 accord, its on car domain. com looks nice but why waste money on that if you have a 94 accord and like accords, reason is that you want something like that but you cant afford it. just fix up ur accord better on performance on the engine, custom body work (not conversions) and paint job, then when you hit the streets race something that looks fast ( not a ferrari or lambo) cough cough, and if they tell you what are you running? just say, just a lil 4 cylinder, whaaamm!! and smoke them...
