B18B in CRX si. new clutch... no gears?
I put i new clutch in my LS CRX. I have a cable tranny (of course) and the clutch cable fork has about 3 inches of play. I believe the throw out bearing feel off. ANY IDEAS?
There may be nothing wrong at all. The clutch fork shoudl be able to move freely for about the length your describing before it catches on the clutch disc. This freeplay is what you take out of the fork when your adjusting your cable. tighten the cable by hand usually works until it gets to the point where it starts to get fairly difficult to turn. You can give it a few more turns with a pair of vice grips if you want, but this is usually a good place to start. If the clutch grabs too late or too early, adjust the cable accordingly
Is that with it still off the car, or atleast not connected to the cable? Or are you saying that with it reconnected just as it was beforehand and the clutch cable tightened in place, that theres still 3 inches of play where there wasn't before?

this is not correct. adjusting it this way will cause premature TOB failure. there should be a slight gab between the TOB and pressure plate.
