Just lowered, Now noise over small bumps...
Hey guys, I just lowered my 95' ls and its making a weird noise over small bumps.
It's not a loud noise, but more like a little thud, but it is very often and annoying.. I lowered is on kyb shocks and intrax springs, 2" front, 1.8" rear, and got new LCAs too. I was thinking it might be the end link on the sway bar making the noise because it seemed to line up a little weird, but not off enough to really take notice too. If you want some pictures, just gimme a day...
Thanks

Its not bottoming out, not anywhere that I could see in the rear atleast. Thats where the noise is coming from. And I just checked the exhaust and I didnt see/hear anything then.

Depends on how low you are.
It isn't necessary, but it can be beneficial for cars low enough that the bumpstops would be regularly compressed during normal suspension travel. The shock moving into the bumpstop causes an increase in spring rate (you're compressing both the spring and the bumpstop), which is useful to prevent bottoming out (and the reason to leave some of the bumpstop in place), but a ride quality killer when it happens.

It sounds more like somethings moving rather than hitting.. The bump stops were actual removed completely. They weren't transferred over from the stock shocks and I really can't recall them being on the aftermarket ones.. Unless I'm thinking about a different part, the bump stop can be cancelled out.
