I tried a couple of different searches with no luck. Just brought home a new Civic LX. Everything is fine except the dome light won't light when the doors open. If I push it on it works fine. I can't imagine that this is normal. Any help!!

 

is your switch on the door setting of the off setting?

 

If you're pushing it, it's the Map lights, not Dome lights.

IIRC, the Map lights don't light up when the door is open...at least that's how it was on my '06 LX Coupe. I had to run a wire from the Dome lights to the Map lights.
