Has anyone experienced grease leaking from the passenger side underneath the dashboard? I noticed some staining on the carpet next to the center console, then I went to wipe it down to find it was a thick dark orange grease. As I crawled under to take a look, someone had stuffed a bunch of paper towels in there to catch the grease from draining down, but there's so much it still dripped onto the carpet.

I couldn't see exactly where it was coming from. Can someone please tell me where this might be coming from and how to fix it?

As you can see, it's weird! I had wiped off an old stain that must have been there for years with carpet cleaner, now I guess the grease just keeps coming back. I inherited this car from a family member and they don't know what it is either. Does anyone know what sits right above that area of the dash that could ooze that type of grease? It's right behind the bottom of the plastic console. Anyone???

 

Have you checked your firewall area? A little further in? It seems as if its being channeled to that area in the car by the curves in the panels.

 

No I haven't gone back that far. Even if I could back that far to check the firewall, what could it be? What would be in that area would discharge grease?
