Default Red "A" and "H" emblems- Rice or Nice?!

what does everyone think of the red emblems on cars?? not bone stock cars though. for example- lets say that someone has put a lot of money into their car to improve suspension and performance and they put on a red "A" or "H" emblems because they think it would improve the appearence, is that still considered "RICE"? - so what do you all think??

I think Red A's and H's are fine. Are JDM front end equipped cars considered rice? They didn't come that way from the factory. Are b-series motors with red valve covers considered rice? They didn't come that way from the factory. Are aftermarket rims considered rice? Are tinted windows considered rice? Are carbon fiber hoods considered rice? No, they just make your car look like you got into an accident and couldn't afford to repaint it Well i hope you get my point. That point would be, don't let what other people think dictate whether something is rice or not to you. What looks good to you may look like **** to someone else and there will always be haters and praisers. I personally think red emblems look good on your car if they're the OEM emblems. I've had both emblems and there is a difference in quality and shade.

no, it's tight as long as they're jdm oem emblems. that other stuff fades. if you're gonna do it, do it right.

I have the perfect excuse for mine. When I bought my 01 GSR back in 02/04/02 they had blue "A" and blue on black just didn't work for me, too ricey. So as I was going through negotations about the terms of the sale of the car. I told the dealership that they either they fix the small dent on the right rear quarter panel or replace the blue "A' emblems with OEM emblems for $20,500. I chose the quarter panel so I would have a clean car.

So then I ordered the red one's cause red abd blk is tight and no my car doesn't look rice.

One Question at a time:
JDM front: came that way in japan, but i wouldnt do it
Red valve covers: they came that way on a B18c5, i wouldnt have it unless i had a c5
rims; not rice if they're lighter than factory, otherwise why bother
tint: keeps the interior cool
CF hood: saves weight

the rest is just a useless arguement. I think that putting non-factory badging on a car (IE red s on a non R car) is gay. sure it looks cool, but its just posing. if thats what your about, good for you. just dont expect props from me cause you have red badges....

just my opinion of course.

The only reason I wouldn't do it is why waste the money when someone will probably just steal them any way.

they're just emblems! it's not like they're gonna make your car fast. if you wanna rock red or whatever, peace. it looks tight. we are all posers to an extent trying to make our cars look like they're true racers when we drive them daily. just my $.02

they're not rice, untill someone puts the A sign on their honda, that's when you get out your bag of rice and throw it at them as you drive by. hehe

As long as you keep the real make of your car, I think they look nice. I'm sure they do bring attention to your car more for theives...

Um. that is the most idiotic statement ever, its not like he has a 16" exhaust and a huge wing. I think he deserves compliments that red emblem on the front of the black gsr looks tight, the rear i'm not too fond of personally, but its all about your style.

Definitely nice, IF they are OEM! the aftermarket ones fade.

Yes go to your local dealer and ask for the OEM Type R emblem. They're 42 dollars each.

i think they only look good on champ. white, phx. yellow, black and of course, red. these of which happen to be civic and integra type R colors. i saw them once on forest green, and it just didn't look right at all.
