Default 90-91 SI redline??

Just wondering what is the stock redline on a 90-91 Si hatchback and CRX or they're the same? Because I have a 90-91 Si ECU not sure which, civic or CRX. But got a swap a while back in my 91 HF and I'm just trying to redline the mother and it's like there's no limit on there... which I suppose it good but just like to know what's the redline, said it was to be a stock SI ECU??? i'll check on which exactully was installed, unless chiped but need to know what's the redline on the civic si and CRX si just the the 90-91 or unless they're the same....let me know TIA

Wrong, the correct answer is that it is OVER 9000.

Wow, haven't seen one of these threads for a while.

The redline is when it starts to make a choppy metal smaking sound.....keep revving it!

okay so is it 7200k or 9000k ??seriously I mean I tried reving it and hear nothing no choppy metal sound and I know how that sounds like got a LS rex with GSR cluster and found out that way...but seriously when I drive it I try redlining it as well and seems like nothing seriously, supposedly it's a stock SI ECU still haven't had time to pull it out/look--again not sure which civic or crx or if they're even the same or not??but yeah just like to know so I don't mess up the motor by reving the crap out of it or going over redline for too long when it should redline and I hear nothing...again I know how it'll sound like just it never redlined so just like to know but yeah holla back at me on this

if it is 7900k or 9000k and I try redlining it again and nothing I'll have to open it up and see if it's chiped or not...Already I've tried redlining it at 7500k-8000k and still hear nothing but yeah let me know what is it the redline for stock CIVIC SI ECU and CRX SI ECU

on a stock 91 si ecu it should be 6500 rpm. even if the ecu doesnt stop you from reving it past that I wouldnt go more than 7000. The ecu must be chipped. anything past that your not making power anyways if the motor is stock. plus you run the chance of floating a vavle.

This Is How You Know Its An Si ECU, Look At The White Tag On The ECU And It Should Be Coded PM6 And If It Is A Si "PM6" Then These Are The Red-lines That Your Car Should Be When It Is These Temperatures.

When Your Car Is:
Cold - 6850
Semi Warm - 7200
Fully Warm - 7500
Trust Me

Thanks so far to all who help(R015 -unless you were able to find both 90-91 civic si/crx si redline on search then tell me that-cuz I didn't) I don't just post and not search at all...but thanks for the help R015

6500 woow!? I went past that to close to maybe 8000K+ and heard nothing went pretty high close to 9K but I didn't want to try to go that far or pass 8500K but "plus you run the chance of floating a vavle" is the reason I like to know so that I don't do that when getting on the hwy or feeling spirited "The ecu must be chipped." could be that too but haven't had time to pull it out/look but will try to....

Thanks "toolbox21" will keep that in mind if that's what it is...

dont come down on me cause you know nothing about your own car.... if your redline is higher than stock its because the ECU IS chipped.

So thats your answer. i dont even think you mentioned anything about your swap.

I'm not trying to, chill just don't post if you don't want to help that's all. simple. I mean its not hard, I would think?? Just look on and move on if you don't want to help And it doesn't really matter about what motor/swap I have just I asked that I have a 91 HF and currently running a SI ECU and just like to know the STOCK red line for the 90-91 civic/crx SI ECU that's all.... so yes to me because I don't claim to know it all like some HT people so yes but thanks I'm sure you had to start somewhere

would it had help you if I told you my swap? Would you had answered if I mention it? well here you go since your interested to know: it's a 98 cx motor with 90-91 SI tranny and 90-91 SI ECU
