Default whats the best dohc engine to build and boost?

i recently turbod my stock d series and i love it but now i'm ready for a new project and that would ultimately be to build an a new turbo motor. i was originally going to build a d-series and try to make around 300whp and use that as a daily driver, but i was thinking about it, and building a dohc would probably be a little better because making 300whp on a dohc wouldn't be nearly as stressful on the engine since it would be making power more easily.

but i know if i was going to build a d series .. it would be a z6, but what is the best dohc to build up and boost?

depends on your budget.

you can have lotsa fun on a boosted ls, with plans of an lsv in the future.

start with how much loot do you have?

well i mean i'd have to save up. i was figuring a d16 build might cost me like ~1500 and thats buying alll the parts and the engine then having it prepped and assembled

with lets say a dohc i'd have to get a new tranny and whatever esle i would need to do a swap, how much would i be lookin at?

any B series will be a good choice. 300whp is no problem, or what u could do is buy a stock motor, get a nice turbo kit, get it tune and call it a day

any bseries will make 300whp with a good setup and a good tune...

I would say GSR is the best all around head, tranny, block for boost...

but this is easily done cheaper with an LS... Like they said, its all about the money
