Default CRX rear disc conversion---

alright, so I did a rear disc swap on my 89 crx yesterday. Now when I press the brake pedal it seems to travel a lot further before my brakes actually work. It also seems to take a lot longer to actually come to a stop. I bled the brakes, but I have not put the new proportioning valve on yet. Do you think this could be the cause? Im hoping once I put it on it will feel/stop better than the drums, if not is there anything else that could be causing it to take longer to stop? and is it Normal for the pedal to travel further untill it starts to stop? thanks

Sounds like they weren't bled right. Unless your MC/BB is going out all of a sudden.

RE-bled the system.

the prop valve will have no effect on normal braking, petal will feel same.

Get a speed bleader, try again, be sure to do all four in order specified in helms manual and you will be good to go.

Everytime I've done something major to my braking system in which I had to dump a lot of the fluid (Like replace a caliper), I have had to bleed twice after putting everything together. I usually bleed once, drive around for a bit, bleed again, and I'm ready to hit the track.
