I received an email from NASA Midwest asking if I would be available to volunteer at the Road America event on Aug 1-3. I won't be able to make it and figured I would pass the words along.

They are short of workers for this event, and would compensate with "points" that could be exchanged for free track time.
1-day of work = 4 points
8 points = 1 free track day
If you work the Road America weekend and earn 12 points, you can cash them in for one of their remaining events at Mid Ohio, Putnam, Gingerman, or Autobahn Country Club.

They need people in all areas like registration, timing & scoring, tech, grid, etc. No experience required, but you do need to be 18 or older. More info here:

well i could drive there all day friday, volunteer saturday, then drive back sunday

My car looks pretty again, but it's throwing smoke screen like a batmobile.

Do you have decent compression in all cylinders? Could it be as easy as a bad PCV valve or is it really smoking constantly?

 

If I was to work the autobahn, or Gingerman event. would I be able to carry those points over to next year?

Wai and I both have smoke screens. I guess I'm spy hunter and he's batman. lol. My head got rebuilt last year, and I recently replaced my pvc. For my I think it's something bottom end related. I want to try and do the nasa autobahn event in october. Then my car will begin the bottom end rebuild.

Did a compression and leakdown tests, cylinder 2-4 were 220, 1-3 were 130, or something like that. One small leak at a valve, and most leaks from the rings.

Yup those points never expire and transferrable.
