OEM 98-01 Fog light question??????
The Type R I am getting has the oem fog lights installed and I am not sure If I like them yet. If I remove them are there going to be huge missing pieces from the bumper grill or are the cuts small, clean and barely noticable? On the same note can the black grill piece inside the bumper be replaced or is it all one piece? Thanks

I doubt you're going to like the way it looks if you take off the fog lights.

yep... my car had fog lights on the 98-01 bumper and they were removed.. now there is 2 sections missing from the black grille portion.
not that big of a deal but it still bugs me.
I'd like to eventually find another set of fogs to fill it in or replace the bumper..

Its PY, I no the holes will bug me so I guess I will just keep them on. I wish Honda made an oem filler for the bumper so if you decide to take them off you wouldnt have to see the gap.
Does anyone have a pic of an ITR front end that had fog lights and now doesnt? I want to see how bad it looks with the cut outs.

Sorry. :-) I put a Grillecraft over the nose at the same time, to protect an expensive dissipater.

The fog light switch lights up green. You may be able to adjust it to make it light amber. I never bothered though.
What color R did you end up getting and how many miles? I remember your mint 98 that you had. You should have never let her go.

Yes, it lights up amber. I have it where the cruise control switch blockoff plate was. I cut off the stock switch plug and spliced in the JDM switch plug. Matches perfectly with the gauges and climate control.

Are you guys sure Honda doesnt make a gap filler? That just seems weird that they would make a product where you have to cut into your car and they dont have something to fix it incase you dont want them anymore.

It's one way man, just like other Honda fogs (ie Civic where you will have to cut out the vents).

I guess they figured if you're going to cut holes in your bumper that you're damn sure you want them there in the first place

I am surprised the replies have been so conservative.

This guy is a tool! He should have bought my ITR. I would have made the gauge cluster read whatever miles he wanted!
Jeremy- who wants a vagina that has never seen the snow!
