got it from another forum im on.
"If you heading up azusa someone dumped oil on the road past the 24.83 m/m right in the apex of the turn, Its the whole lane so watch it. They dumped some on east fork to, Around a mile after the bridge, The 1 gal jug they used was sitting right there."
so be careful guys!

Yet another reason to never ride over your head on a public street.
You never know what will be around the next corner.
At the track, there are ambulances ready and waiting less than a minute away, and there's no opposing traffic to run you over.
Be careful out there.

Heard about this last night. Group of guys I know went up there and almost crashed because of it. They were extremely experienced riders and thankfully didn't.

That's why I always do a 1st run at a pretty mellow place when I'm hitting the twisties, even if it's the same road I visit everyday, to check out for any road hazards like this one.
On one of my favorite roads, for like 3 weeks, it seemed like someone spilled dirt all over the critical zones (apex, braking areas, etc) on purpose. It seemed like it was the local county officers, because even if it rained, you could come again on the next day and there would be even more dirt. You could clean it and the next day you would find more dirt on the same spot.

I am a cyclist. I have NEVER seen a cyclist do such a thing!
Most cyclists like motorcycles and a large majority of them own or have owned motorcycles too.
I don't believe that.

Ditto.
I MTB with a lot of other cyclists, and don't know any who would do such a thing. In fact, we've had to deal with others sabotaging our trails in public parks on several occasions. Some assbag went around one night sawing up bridges and distributing wires and broken glass everywhere, and I had the privilege of crashing and slicing myself open as a result

You two don't know the life of a Canyon rider. Cyclists HATE guys on bikes in the canyons here, Nor Cal, and SoCal. Even the fruiters (cyclists) In the UK didn't like bikes.
Me personally? I like to buzz the tower if one of them is in my lane of travel. I don't see much reason in slowing from 80-100mph coming off a turn cause a fruiter can't stay in the bike lane. Most of the time, they just flip you off, but some like to throw stuff, and scream obscenities. Honestly, I'm used to it, I just wave and go by.
Here, the police have come onto this, and now they ticket cyclists for several things: Riding two abroad, this isn't legal...speeding..and if you're in the lane of travel, and not the bike lane, then you need registration, insurance, and license. Most of the fruiters don't' carry this, so I am happy the police harass them as much as they do us.

i honestly don't think it's the cyclist. i mean they use the same road and go down the hill pretty damn fast themselves. the ones i've talked to up there have been pretty cool for the most part.
realistically it was probably some shady ghetto *** wannabe drifters who were racing someone else and poored oil on the road cuz they got pissed.
always a possibility lol
can someone keep us updated on this situation?
