Default Sunroof problem

I have the power sunroof/moonroof (whatever its called) on my 93 civic hatchback Si. The problem i have with it is that it struggles and is very very very slow when i try to close it. It even stops sometimes and gets stuck. It seems to be perfectly fine when opening it except sometimes it needs a little push when it tilts up to move back. Sometimes (very rarely) the sunroof will close with no problems at all. Does anyone know what it might be? Maybe the sunroof motor? not enough power getting to it? something in the way? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

try to put some WD40 on the joints. sometimes rusts slows the operation of the hinges, like on doors.

i kinda have the same problem with my '92 Si. when it tilts up, sometimes i have to help it, but that's it. the motor is a little noisy, sometimes it makes a screeching sound if you hold the button down after it's fully closed or fully open.

try bearing grease on the tracks and joints like others have said. i used to use WD40, but that stuff dries up too fast and needs reapplied ever few weeks.

I have to give mine a push as well sometimes, because when I try to open it it goes back too far before it goes up and runs into the roof and is stuck. I just give it a helpful nudge up and everything is fine.

Yeah I agree my sunroof is doing the same thing, it needs a helping hand in order to open and/or tilt. I have tried the WD-40 and it helps it slide smoother back and forth but not open up when its closed. Any ideas on this? Thanks.
