removing the head of my b18c1 i have all the nuts and bolts out of the intake manifold and all out of the head but i cant get it to move and im sure i didn't miss anything does the intake manifold have to be removed or am i or am i just having a hard time

 

There should be (10) nuts total for the intake manifold and (10) headbolts total.

Have you separated the intake manifold from the head? Sometimes the studs on the head get caught on the intake manifold, making it really hard to get the head off the block dowel pins.

It will be a bit stubborn regardless, b/c of heat cycling. Find some safe pry points on each side of the head.

 

Please tell me you remembered the timing belt.

 

You don't need to remove the IM to remove the head.
