what do you expect from their website?? truth of the matter is if you change your oil every 3k, you can use dino oil and modern engines will run great for 200k miles.

I'm guessing probably the best oil on the market is probably Amsoil.
My fit just gets OEM Honda oil though, why not?

I worked at valvoline for a short amount of time, while they are a lying bunch of bastards, the synpower is decent AFIK (my only real test was sticking my hands in a freshly opened drum and it felt pretty good?) I doubt mobil 1 is anything special, but I have used it.

My dad put over 300,000 miles on his 1991 f-150 using primarily that cheap oil that you buy at gas stations. I can believe small performance gains from oil, but longevity is up to the owner.

I put a fill of M1 in my Fit, only lasted 5500 miles... w/ a loud valve tapping noise.
With OEM Honda blood, I can go past 6k without noise... and I still have 30% life.
For me It's OEM honda filter and OEM honda oil. Can't go wrong.
Maybe I'll splurge and put some Amsoil in my high revving LSV.

My research on places like bobistheoilguy.com has led me to favor Amsoil over Royal Purple. I can get Amsoil for cheaper too.
To each his own though.

I use their extended-life stuff and change it annually. I don't exceed the 20k miles a year.
I've done this whenever changing the oil in every car I've owned for 5 years, including a DD turbocharged del Sol VTEC. No problems whatsoever.

used M1 for a while, but it kept lasting less and less on my integra and s2k.
valvoline was doing better than the M1.
Royal purple is good enough for me. I want to try amsoil soon.
