im looking to buy a set of koni yellows with gc springs rated at 430ft/lbs front, 900 ft/lbs rear to put on my em1 from a crx. what parts are needed from the crx to put on my em1 for close to perfect fit? already searched.

 

im pretty sure that wont work as they are completely different chassis

No they are not "completely different" chassis but I would not recommend you use them. The CRX uses shorter shocks (rear might be the same size) and the spring rates are different. You're also going to have to use smaller shock forks up front and washers for the gap in the rear shock fork sicne the EM1 LCA is thin compared to the EF. If the suspension is off an 88 CRX, the rears will not even bolt up onto your EM1 LCA.

In other words, I wouldn't waste my time getting the CRX suspension, it was made for a CRX but not an EM1. Just get the suspension that was made for your car and save yourself the trouble/headache.

 

Just use the front crx fork and the rear crx lca if its the type r kind.

...and forget the fact that the front shocks are shorter from a CRX than the EM1? Or that the spring rates are different and were made for a CRX and not an EM1?

im pretty sure you could rig up enough crap to get shocks springs from a 84 Honda motorcycle to fit too but doesnt mean its close...

EF/DA and EG/EK/EM are the only viable swaps... and honestly why would you want to put springs for a car thats what, 500lbs MINIMUM lighter on your car?

 

for the front your gonna need ef forks or 90-93 integra forks sinch the shock body is thinner then the 92 and up civic for the back i dont know. the crx ef suspenstion is shorter so it will allow the car to be a lil bit lower

 

i wouldnt put them on your car even if they do fit i had a crx that i was parting out and then i got a new car and put the suspension on my ej1 and they fit but the car was way to low and didnt perform like it should of been. a crx and a civic have different spring rates and everything else. crx doesnt way anything compared to a civic.
