Default freeing up a "stiff) Ac compressor on car??

Hey guys i have an 89 lude that i bought about a year ago. after about 2 years of just sitting i just recently decided to put some freon in it.

well after adding about 1 can the compressor kicked on turned a little bit then just started sqealing and smokin. I shut if off quick, i can get tools down in the compartment and turn it by hand but its extremely hard.

Is there anyway to maybe lube it or am i jsut scrwed. the car is old and its my beater so if i cant free this one it just wont have A/C

Your problems are large. You will need a new compressor, and jsut about every other component such as condensor, drier, expansion valve, and have all the lines cleaned along with all the seals replaced. Take it to a pro before you waste any more money.

yeah and plus its a r-12 system, so a retrofit is in order, unless that has already been done.
