Well, my fiend is about to buy a 00 EM1. The car is almost 100% stock exept for the longblock. It has a b18c1, with the original b16 tranny. The owmer swears up and down that the motor is legit, but has no proof of purshace. It is a 94 motor, so it doesn't have any vins on it. The only thing we have to go by is the serial on the block, but don't know any way to check it.

Serial is B18C1 2308180. Can somebody help with this?

you can check it with your police department to see if it's legit or not..
