how do you remove antenna off 93 civic completely?

 

need a 'torx' socket(6 or 8 sided odd shape), remove the black cover over the d side door, everything pulls out from there, rather straight forward. take 20 min max.
why you want to remove anyway?

lol, it's cool. you are supposed to use a special screw driver, but i just used a flat head.

 

i did that but how do i get the complete antenna off or actually the cover. Im geting my car painted. The shop is pretty cheap so if im going to tell them not to paint the antenna. Id have to take it off. The top cover of the antenna is connected to this metal part. How do i go about from there?
