Hello! Good news! My brother(Blue Shirt) bought a D16Z6! And i his brother(White Shirt) helped him pull it, yea yea... i have all the tools...*sigh* We got the engine harness, engine, headers, head, all long block componets( alternator, dizzy, injectors, ect..), the Tranny is shot. he going to put this motor into an Ef. I want a cable clutch tranny( if there is a conversion thats not to costly to hydrolic clutch,but that changes our approch*aka list*), but i'm not sure what tranny codes, in order to buy. I also need (and want to stay) obd1 harness, maybe theres a easier way than trying to source a full car harness out (ie: buy one, but from where?, and cheap!). Does he need a different fuel pump? Mounting just from glancing at it, i think the z6 will bolt in i'm not sure. we have not pulled the motor from the ef, cuz we want all the parts to make one foul swoop to knock it all out. Thanks for all your help will keep this post updated as we swap the motor and include lots of pics. Thanks a ton, look forward to seeing your lists.







PS: this is going into a BASE model ef hatch. right now he's rockin' a d15b1 dpfi ? 4 spd. and its just got to go!

Our budget it around 300-600 $, I figure the most expensive might be the tranny, but still list all you can, so we can have a good idea!

First you have to look in the FAQs section. You'll find all the info and write ups in there.

Just a little help to get you started, you need to convert to mpfi.
Check out RYWIRE.COM for a harness and obd0 to obd1 jumper.

why would we if we already have a mpfi manifold on the z6?
