Default 98 civic a/c problem

My a/c compressor locked up, so i got a used compressor off honda-tech. I have replaced it, added freon, and i still get warm air out of the vents. The compressor is engaged and running fine, but still not cooling. The lines get extremely hot and i checked all the way to the inside, and lines seem to be hot in there as well. The switch for cold and hot air in the inside is working fine also. Does anyone have any ideas for what i should check? Could this be caused by a blocked orifice or maybe a drier?

Did you evacuate the system prior to adding freon? Sorry for dumb question, I just didn't see it in any of your steps.

Generally for a seized compressor, I would have replaced the receiver/dryer and expansion valve, as well.

the fans are working fine, yes, i did replace the filte/ dryer, and also evacuated the system. It held a vacuum just fine. i did not replace the expansion valve though..... it is a btch.... the line is very hot though.... all the way from the compressor to the expansion valve. if it was the expansion valve, wouldnt it be cool all up to it? This is weird. Usually the line would be cold from the compressor on the low side, but it is very hot...

Most of the time when compressors blow, there are little metal fragments that can clog up the expansion valve. I think if you replace the expansion valve, you'll be ok.
