Ive searched a couple times and couldnt find a straight answer. Im looking for the tranny code for a cable d-series si transmission. I dont want to get ripped off and buy a dx tranny.

Would be your best bet to look at man... It will answer a ton of the hidden question that you would want to know about the tranny's and motor...
Thank Tyson for this

But I am going to re-open this up with a question also...
I just picked up a 88 Si tranny today...
But my Crx Si is a 91.... From what I am reading in this Thread ( https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1551508 )
The
L3-1...... = 88/89 21 teeth clutch spline
L3-2...... = 90/91 20 teeth clutch spline
Since my car is a 91 and I have all 91 parts such as ( Clutch / Flywheel )
am I going to have to pick up a new clutch and flywheel... that is the year 88 ???
Plz get back to me on this asap because I dont want to tear down my sht and find out that I cant use these parts
My other posts will back up this question I am talking about ...

i just put an 88 tranny in my 89 and i had to swap the flywheel and clutch. And just so you know a stock 88 clutch is about an inch smaller in diameter than an 89-91 clutch.

The diameter is the distance across the whole circle. Meaning the circle is smaller and therefore the contact area is a lot smaller also. It works just fine as long as you match all the pieces up.
