I have a 92 civic with a d16z6 in it.

The car is basically a daily driver; has exahust and intake.
The clutch and flywheel need to be replaced and I was thinking about upgrading.
I want to boost it around dec-jan but keep it low boost.

I wasnt sure if I should do a stage 1 or 2 clutch and I am going to do a lightweight flywheel.

I found a stage2 centerforce cluch, and hadnt heard too much about them.
I also found a f1 stage 1 clutch and lightweight 8.5lb Chromoly flywheel (both f1)

So what should I do? any advice or anyone with experience with these products/ similar setup would be nice.

 

Has anyone delt with gripforce before?

 

f1 is trash, if your going to turbo the car please get some thing good.
ACT is a really good 1, expencive but u wont have any problems.

Yeah, ACT is really good, clutchmaster's is too but I'm an ACT fanboy &gt;.&lt;

Though @ the op: If you're staying stock internals & low boost you really don't need to change anything. The OEM **** is fine.

x2, well maybe at least a stage one. and don't get the light weight flywheel if it's your DD. you'll have to learn how to drive your car all over again. and another option for what company(or two) excedy are pretty good, and i've only heard good news on spec clutches.

 

i would get act instead. pretty productive material

Depends, exedy is good too, but I don't like the way their clutches feel - but you won't have to "learn how to drive the car all over again" unless that civic is the only manual you've owned or something.

It's a slight adjustment, people over-emphasize how much of a control difference it is, you'll be used to it within a week.
