Default The S2000 forum lacks...

It has always lacked to be honest. But why? Is everyone seriously on s2ki? For some reason, I doubt they are. Is there an S2000 forum that I'm missing?

i usually stay in the local area of s2ki...there's definitely a difference in vibe between Honda-Tech and s2ki IMO....

plus it's usually s2000 owners posting in s2ki whereas i don't even know if this or that dude has a s2000 or not on here

True, but most of the s2ki members seem to be biiggggg ricers. The majority post positive feedback when a guy gets a knock-off body kit. WTF.

really? i never thought of it that way. i mean, in the New England area, there aren't many that "rice" their s2000's out. usually they're stock...

i hardly read about people posting about their knock offs (unless they're just playing it off as the real deal)..i definitely don't give to knockoffs, but each to their own

i guess one might think my s2000 is rice...but they're authentic parts atleast

When I was building my ek this was the place to go for everything. This was 5 years ago, things were very different back then.

I cant stand the pussies over at s2ki. There is a bunch of bullshit that goes on over there, like guys posting 'sunk face ce28' pics and then not telling people what the specs are on the wheels. People come on and defend them saying "Its the owners choice to divulge the info blah blah bs." WTF is the point of that? Bunch of poser bullshit if you ask me.

[freak] them. I miss the old vibe from the EK and ITR forums circa 2003.

You can mos def see the changes in s2ki.com

back in the day you can only put the right offset wheel on the s, anything else will decrease performance will get flame.

now everyone is into that low offset, "i made my 240 wheel fitted into my s2000" tread, overlowered, overcamber, streched 215 in the rear on a 9.5 inch width tire. Oh it fits 3k worth of bbs and running on all season kumho 711

Everyone is dump get a with .25 inch of suspension travel because they have a 25.6k springrate coilover from the fuji mt.

and then there's the sh-tt mod club, some 17 years old kid drilled holes in their muffler and cutted spring made 6 pages of excuse why they tear up their car.

after a while you just go into auto pilot and filtered out all the bullsh-t

What do you guys expect from a bunch of "import scene" kids who now have the ability to buy a used S2K with their parent's money and max out their credit card to mod it? BTW, the same kids who used to hardpark a "nice and clean" Civic are in HT's S2000 forum as well.

Here's my advice: stay out of the Gallery forum on s2ki.

After I got my S2000, I stay mostly on s2ki.com since there are actually lots of good tech on there. Lots of modifications are specific to that car, and many of the forum members (I think) know quite a bit.

I'm only occasionally on this forum, but I rarely notice anything new. Unfortunately, as much as I like Honda-tech, for S2000's and NSX's, this isn't the place. It's great for Civic/Integras and Forced Induction tech, and that's about it. GDD is pretty fun.

I think the other major S2000 forum is s2kca, right? I'm a member, but I don't even remember the last time I went to that site.

i go in s2ki.com for the sales forum. i have bought and sold stuff on there. only thing is that you have to pay to become a member to sale on there. there's also lots of good info on there if you know where to look. there Racing/Competition forum is also very informative.

i also recent joined s2000.com, not as crowed as s2ki but still more than h-t.

Actually everyone that responded in that thread said that it was a bad install and that it needed work. I did not read anything about anyone giving him props on his "clean" install.

s2ki is useful for the marketplace. i mean they do have good stuff, but its hidden in all of the crap on there. we need a good s2000 technical forum, not so much an s2000 iblowmyparentsmoneyoncrap forum. that way members can "promote" performance more than appearance, like most of honda-tech.

Default Re: (Black S2K)

this forum has 2-3 'post your s2000' threads. it needs to be cleaned up & organized

there should be several stickied threads, to keep everything major up top

1. FAQ thread (with links to old helpful threads, i.e. ap1-ap2 comparison, TSB thread,
2. the new owner thread
3. s2000 picture thread (a new one, not one with 4-year old pictures, some of which dont even work anymore)
4. s2000 video thread
5. aftermarket part review thread (i.e. part name, price, purchased from, install difficulty, overall satisfaction, before & after pictures, and then a description about the part (pros, cons, etc)
6. DIY thread (from anything to srs light resetting, to removing cruise control, etc)
...and lastly...
7. rambling/bullshitting thread

then... the other new threads that would be made and kept would be specifically if it can not be found in any of those threads (instead of trying to use the oh-so-unhelpful search feature on here)
