Wanting recomendations for a front lip for a del sol.
There are a bunch of cheapo's on Ebay, anyone got one fitted ?
Anyone have detailed photos of one mounted on a DEL SOL
There are 7+2 keyhole slots under the front bumper I assume are for the lip mounts.
What goes in here ? Photos anyone please ?
Is there an OEM lip that fits correctly and to the oem mounting holes without too much modifications or heat blowers ?

OEM lips have bolts and mounting hardware that connect to all of those holes you see in your bumper. Perfect fitment and looks great.

My friend has an oem lip and it looks real nice.

 

I just mounted an ebay abs plastic lip on my civic and it was really tight, but it worked. It took a few self-taping screws in the edge of the bumper on each side and some double-sided tape in the middle. I'm not sure of a civic oem lip would fit on the del sol, but they use the mounting holes under the bumper. You should be able to find an oem lip at a wrecker for good price.

 

I was hoping someone would say OEM, but I can't find a listing anywhere for a del sol oem lip, even at the dealers listings.

My 93 standard del sol with knock-off 15" rims with 205/60/15 Goodyears, fit just right.

The del Sol never had an OEM lip available. Many owners have used OEM lips from other models with varied results. The del Sol's bumper lower line is similar to the civics but it's a bit more rounted in the corners, so you have to pull it back on the sides to get it to sit flush. The most del Sol owners on one board was on automotivetech.org, but since it went down we've all scattered. Try solsociety.com or the boards on the team sol california chapter page.

I've seen OEM JDM EG lips as well as EK TypeR lips on del Sols. If it's OEM or polyurethane and flexible, you should be able to get it to fit. Seibon makes a carbon fiber lip for the del Sol.

I'm still trying to find one that may use the oem keyholes as this must have been what they are there for. But as you say, I've never seen an oem del sol lip.
The Kia Rio has a spoiler under the front bumper that's totally hidden from view and I was going to try that as I wanted funcionallity, not looks.

 

I think I'm beginning to hate Ebay sellers.
Most don't even show an accurate photo of the actual item (or one the same) you're buying, those that do, don't show it in it's application or tell you if it has the instalation kit included. Those that say OEM when they mean oem style but often looks nothing like oem at all and then there's those that sell at redicolusly low prices with extortianate shipping costs.

yes i agree...92-95 ex lip will fit just needs a little flex to it...

 

im not too sure if they made oem lips for del sol...i had a hard time finding one myself..where im from i cant find anything for my sol...

 

Nope Del Sol's don't have oem lip, but 92-95 civic lips will fit fine. I'm gonna install an OEM one that my im gonna get from my friend pretty soon too. Also "Racks on my EG2" I never seen someone put up a rack on their Sol before, that's hella clean though.
