what are the springs in the middle of the clutch for? and between the OEM exedy replacement clutch and the exedy stage 1..wat the difference because im about to purchase a stage 1, but i wanna avoid scammers. are there any easily distinguish difference between the two? i've looked it up but im confused becuz some shows 6 spring and some shows 4. and whats the difference if their sprung or unsprung.

 

the springs in the clutch plate. These springs help to isolate the transmission from the shock of the clutch engaging....exedy is a good choice and there really isnt that much of a diference between that and oem..it grabs a little harder doesnt have the stiffness as stage 2 and up(which isnt a bad hing expecially in traffic)
