im moving back to oregon for school and i cant have a cai up there so if anybody is in the socal area and wants to trade lemme know..

im not taking a hacksaw to anything on or in my car... and to the guy from guam, i lived in oregon for 11 years and i know at least 5 dumbass people who hydrolocked their car due to heavy heavy rain. im just looking for someone to trade with. i will even do the install for both parties

The key word in your post was "dumbass". You said the people were driving in heavy rain. They were idiots, and were probably out in conditions that you shouldn't be driving in, and drove through a foot of water. If you are smart about when, and the way, you drive, then you will be fine.

Please explain to me what negative effects you would have by cutting the piping? How do you think a brand like AEM make piping to fit your car? They cut it!! Now they probably have something more elaborate to cut it with then a hacksaw, but its still the same thing. You could use a file after you cut it to make it perfectly smooth, the filter goes over it anyway and nobody will ever be able to tell.
