Default Loss Of Power

About a week ago I replaced the clutch fork bolt, which required dropping the tranny. Everything went fine, but when I went to start the car a few days later, it wouldn't. I caught the car in gear and it ran fine, so I figured maybe the starter. Then my gauges started freaking out and stuff was flashing and dimming so I now know its something wiring related. Question is where do I start? Did something ground out or short out. Should I use a voltmeter? What wires would cause this? Any help would be awesome.

Thanks, Bob

If i were to guess i'd say you forgot to reconnect the large ground that goes from the transmission to the frame rail. check that, and while your at it check the thermostat ground as well.
