Yeah, they definitely used the same footage for the end part of that clip to make it look like the suspect "runs out of life, breaks down and gets caught". Maybe they just didn't have footage of him stopping since the main police car with the rest of the video spun out, but I think that he got away and they are just making it look like he got caught.

look back at the middle when he cuts the median

Look at his brake lights, It flashes before he stepped HARD to cut the median
That means he step then release, then step again

and look back at the "break down" scence, SAME THING, it's fake !

**** that...i'm wondering if they cut the footage because they were rodney king'ing him! they said he was a car theif right? if it were my car being stolen...i'd ask for copies of the dude being beat down

yes, if it was my car i would be pissed as hell. but then again, id love to see my car outrun a state trooper as well as a couple of other cops.

If they didn't catch him, how do they know he is 15? That is pretty good driving for a 15 year old...

 

I heard the kids father was a teacher for some bmw driving school.

 

He does a good quick swerve to avoid those spike strips...gotta admit he can drive.

 

This is the most talented 15 year old driver possiblly in the whole world to do all the things he did.

I also concur with other poeple's suspucions. How did they know that he was 15 if they didn't catch him or had caught up to him yet?

Those cars are stick yes/no?? man... he sure does know how to gun the **** like a beast.

Though I do not codone it, it was very impressive.

Soembody should right a letter to the makers of the video.

 

Okay, I don't know why nobody realizes that the commentator obviously knows absolutely nothing. The driver of that car is probably not 15, probably not a thief, and probably did get away. I'd say it was a very skilled driver though, and the cop knows nothing about performance driving. The mistake he made seems to be a very amatuer one... he *claims* the M3 was gonna sideswipe him, so he quickly jerks the steering at high speed?
BTW, E30 M3, 195 hp, 2.3L I4... Naturally Aspirated... sort of the ITR of 10 years ago, I'm surprised it made it to those speeds.

My thoughts...
Cop that is interviewed on the aside is not really a cop. This would explain the complete bullshit coming out of his mouth as a "dramatization".
Really sketchy that they edited the footage (makes me think he got away)...though, the LT1 already broke off pusuit because he hit the gaurd rail, so no footage would be available.
They said the M3 was supercharged and 250hp...they could only know that if he was caught, or if it really was stolen.
The LT1 might be chipped as far as removing a speed limiter, if it normally has one.
The chances that the driver of the M3 was 15 are very, very slim. I know if I had my learner's and I was evading the cops at 125-150 that I would have completely bailed and killed myself

I was just thinking about this recently. I hate it how On those World's wildest police videos they never show people getting away. It's more of a propoganda show; "you'll never be able to get away from the cops if you try to run" is the message they're sending. I've only seen 2 cars on that show ever get away. One was a sport bike in london that floored it when the cop was approaching the bike and a lifted truck that drove thru a 4ft deep river (the cop tried to follow but hydro locked his engine). And i hate that comentator and the sound effects. He calls the driver of that m3 "inexperienced." Sure. I want to see a show with all the videos they don't show you, the ones where people get away and are never seen again. That would be nice. As for the idea that the m3 was caught, yeah right, the lt1 camaro ("it's computer chip so it gives more performance than the public gets") could barely hang with it, there no way one of those measly cruisers could run it. I saw the clip and I think he got away. If you look closely all the signs in the last scene are in the same position as when he goes across the median.

the cop did make a pretty shitty mistake when he wiped out!

 

According to the cop, the kid made a 'motion' with his shoulders as if he was readying to hit him...BS! The cop tagged the brakes and got squirley, lost it, end of story. And as far as I'm concerned he either A. got away and was later caught in another manner, or B. was caught there but not shown because the cops rough-housed him.
