Default do i have to repalce my head gasket?

okay i just got done rebuilding the entire lower end of my d15 and i still had some slight smoking so i figured i needed to replace my valve seals so i was doing this and i got to the second to last one and my valve fell through..

so no i need to remove the head i just replaced the headgasket with a new one and i have put less then 200 miles on the engine..

do i need to replace the head gasket? or can i reuse it since it has such low miles on it? its is the metal type d16y8 head gasket if it makes a difference.

if i need to replace the headgasket it is very likely that i will need to replace more then that after i take my revenge with the sledghammer

Its a long shot, but did the valve fall all the way into the cylinder or just to low to pull it back up ?

Try rotating the piston up to push the valve up.

Hey the more you do it the easier it becomes. I did 5 HG's one summer, a few years back.

i tried to rotate it but its jamed so it fell alll the way through.. its what i get really i was trying to get away from using compressed air or somthing to hold them in like string.. its seemed to be working but it got me..this is after the spring compressor slipped and i got hit in the head with the top spring plate thingy.

its not that its hard for me really just that its a pain in the arss to take everything off and put everything on..

and instead of making a new thread can someone answer another question? there is a black box on the rear of the motor by the oil filer that the pcv valve tube goes too.. mine seems to be spewing oil all over in that area. is there somthing i should look for? and that tube i talked about theres a plastic piece on the end that goes into this black box it just slips right in is it supose to fit tight?

i know alot about cars but not much towards hondas this is my first i was originally a rx7 guy

Breather can. when the head and intake are off it easy to remove the one or two bolts that hold it in. theres a o-ring in the snout of the can. The tube goes up to the PCV valve.
