Another CRX won't start
I have an 89 crx hf that i bought about a month ago. I drove it home(4hour drive) and then i drove it around for a few days after that and i started having problem with the clutch. So it's kind of been sitting until i had the money to order a clutch. I have started it off and on just to make sure it didn't just sit.
Well here lately it's been harder and harder to start. I noticed that i couldn't always hear the fuel pump prime when i turned the key so i resoldered the main relay and that seemed to work, i hear the pump everytime. However, it still won't start. I replaced the fuel filter, new wires and plugs, and cleaned the PCV.
The car will start if i put starter fluid in the intake and run for a little bit but then dies. I'm not sure what to really do from here, i mean i'm pretty sure it's getting fuel and spark.

If it was the dizzy it wouldn't run for a little bit when i spray starter fluid in the intake would it? I think it's getting spark, just not fuel but i don't know why.
Did you get new starter? How's the starter? Also battery still good?Check that...sometimes it can be the smallest thing, maybe check your firing order as well cuz you said you got new plugs/wires....How's the spark plugs are they good? I mean if you did about everything should start then....could just be fault dizzy or something if it starts and don't stay on...check for loose terminals or ground etc. whatever look everything over and good luck?
keep it simple, you get it to fire when you have starter fluid right? ok so you are getting spark, you might not be getting enough fuel. loosen the bolt on the fuel filter and open the key see if you have adequate pressure. the best way is with a fuel pressure tester, but if you dont have one try it like that. or go to any auto parts and they should have one for like 30 bucks. ive ran into the problem where you hear the pump and dont have enough pressure due to the rubber line breaking down in the tank(the one that connects the pump to the metal line) try it..
