Default 1990 accord ecu question

looking at picking up a non running 90 accord EX for like 800 obo, the owners say it doesnt run because it needs a new ecu. so my question is what ecu can it use? does it have to be that specific ecu or will any obd1 ecu work (if they're even obd1 lol)

oh and it needs a battery. you guys think its worth it? car is pretty clean otherwise, no body damage and everything works (windows, locks, mirrors and sunroof)
