my 96 civic dx has a random misfire in cylinder 1 and i checked the spark plug and it still looked like the spark hasnt worn out the part where the little black thing sits to conduct to the medal piece cause ive checked my other spark plugs and they are all been worn except for cylinder 1 spark plug. what could be the cause of this?? ignition coil or the wires.

 

Start by replacing the plugs. Could also be a bad plug wire, fuel injector, or distributor cap/rotor, or low cylinder compression.

 

the compression is good and i replaced the rotor on the distributor and not so sure with the spark plug but when i pull it out, the engine loses power so would that mean that its not the spark plug wire, and how do i check the injector to see if it is the cause?

 

I would start by replacing all the plugs. To test the injector, listen for whether the cyl 1 injector is not clicking.
