Abbreviations
For example. What does FG stand for? What about Si? Do they mean or stand for anything? I think I've seen FA also. I'm sure its something simple but, I haven't so far seen an explanation.
FG - Coupe
FA - Sedan (U.S.)
FD2 is the Japanese Civic Type R and the FG is only available in the U.S. and Canada.
I can't remember the European Civic Type R's chassis code off the top of my head, but if you search I'm sure you can find it.

These abbreviations stand for the chassis/engine combinations. Like the others said:
FG_: 06+ civic coupes (1=ex,lx,dx; 2=Si)
FA_: 06+ civic sedans (1=ex,lx,dx,ngv*,hybrid*; 5=Si)
*Some one correct me if I'm wrong.

No, it doesn't *** clown.
Another user already posted what it means.
Honda released the Civic S back in the 80's and it was carburated. S stood for Sport. Then the Civic S was available with fuel injected and the "Si" was born.
I hope you aren't basing your info from wikipedia because it's fugging wrong!
If it stood for sequential injection then the "S" in the "Civic S" stood for sequential? Ladies and gentlemen, introducing the Civic Sequential. The crwod goes wild.
Additionally the 1st fuel injected Honda Civic Si was Dual Point fuel injection, hardly what I would call sequential. Not until 1990 did the Civic Si get multiport fuel injection, at least in the states.

I've seen people enter information into wikipedia, just so they could reference it, to prove they were "correct". Lame. I always laugh when people use wikipedia as a reference, even if their information is correct.
