i just got my car back from the shop had my clutch changed out now it keeps popping the instrument light fuse what could be wrong?

Your dash lights brightness controller may have an electrical short. To test, remove the controller and uncouple the connector. On the free connector, ground the terminal for the red wire. Turn the dash lights ON from the combination switch. If the dash lights stay full ON without popping the fuse, then replace the controller. If the fuse still pops, you have a short somewhere in the wiring.
