Default tuning cams

any tips on how to tune with adjustible cams, when do i retard and when to advance? thanks

u would retard if u were running higher compression or boost and u would advance say if u ran high compression and had race fuel.. u can advance a stock motor for more hp and better mpg but there is a fine limit try little incremints and take it for a drive and watch for pinging or odd noises if u have these noises u have advanced the timing to much and need to back it off alittle.. i want to say u can prolly get somthing like 15 extra hp if u advance the timing

Cam timing adjustments should be made on a dyno so you can actually determine what settings are actually producing power...

Same applies for ignition timing adustments etc..
