i am pulling my 1'5l out of my 95 civic and looking for a replacement.i found a d16z6 and it is a single cam vtec engine. the engine was pulled out orinally from a 95 civic . what else do i need to get my civic back on the streets.......is the harness the same , tranny bolt up ...is there anything else i need to purchase?

 

should be plug and play . wire in vtec and swap in a vtec sohc ecu

 

so if i get a harness from a vtec d16 and a computer from the same d16 vtec engine that will be it..........?

 

no you still have to run the vtec wires from the vtec to the computer

 

get the engine harness if you can for the D16Z6, then you just have to wire vtec from the shock tower plug to the ECU, my prefered method is to go to a junkyard and get the 2 wires for vtec out of a '92 civic as they are all prewired for vtec at the shock tower plug. you will need a P28 ecu out of a either an Si or an EX.
