4g63 piston indentations (from valves) Opinions welcome!
1990 Eagle Talon 6 Bolt motor
- Bent 16 valves
Ok, the timing belt broke and the motor bent valves. However, it did leave some marks in the pistons. Not deep, but not just surface scratches. Overall, the motor is in good condition, (cylinder walls, bearings etc), so it is not in need of a rebuild. My theory is the small marks in the pistons will become carbon deposits and have no effect on the motor whatsoever. Attached are pictures. All opinions welcome.

They are not that deep. I guess its like a deep scrape. I personally think it would be fine. I have never used "damaged" pistons in any motor before and was just looking for some opinions. Im guessing it will be filled by carbon. Any insight is appreciated.
