trade your R for a Hatch, this car isn't made for Drags yo.....
Take it to a road course, your at the wrong kind of track for a heavy DC2

depends how sticky the track is, how sticky the tires are, suspension, etc. sounds to me like you are spinning the **** out of the tires off the line. so you should "launch" lower in the RPM and SLIP the clutch dont just dump it.
search the drag racing forum. you are in the wrong place.

May be the fastest, but it sounds like a good way to ruin a clutch.
To the OP: Is drag racing a 15 second car really that fun? I sure don't think so. Save your clutch/tires/tranny for something that involves skill and turns.

come on, youre OG and should know better than that. drag racing takes plenty of skill and timing. maybe not as much skill as road racing or autox. maybe not as much while in a pretty stock car. but Id like to see anyone here try to drive my civic down the strip, let alone pull it out of my garage.
maybe its not for you, but there is still a challenge to it in trying to improve just like anything else. sorry this isnt DIRECTED at you, its more toward the whole ITR community as a whole who are so against LEGAL DRAG RACING AT THE STRIP.

RTW + drag = ghey
JFWY
<--not a drag fan, but don't hate on those who enjoy it.
I do however get a kick out of those with ITRs who don't understand that the car was never made to accelerate quickly in a straight line. I believe Hype-R came about when some tard showed up at the strip running his mouth and ran a 16 flat.

to get a quicker time try to stage like this. there are 2 lights when you are staged. the first one and second. approach the first one until its on. then slowly creep up till the second on is one but just barely until it stays on. this lets the time start after you are out of the hole. trust me this works. i got this advise from a pro 1 drag racer. he explained this to me and said it will lower your time. if you think its bull then dont do it but thats just my advise for you drag racers.

Drag racing a 14-15 second car...wake me up when it's over. I'm not talking about an 11 second hatch, here--I'm talking about frying a clutch for .2 seconds faster time on a 15 second car. And once you get the launch down, the skill is pretty much over (unless you have issues driving in a straight line and pushing down on the accelerator).
I'm sorry, drag racing a mild car, especially one that's FWD, is pretty pointless. Now, a 10 second RWD car...sign me up.

Are you typing from your phone, or is it just too difficult to hit the shift key and type an extra letter or two?

dc2 heavy.. yea right its **** all different to a hatch only weighs around 1060, by the looks getting off the line is where your losing time. need to get closer to the 2.000 60ft somehow. most stock ITR should be capable of a 14.5 area so your not far off with a bit of practise and harder/quicker shifts. tbh you need to be very hard on the car to get good times
